The focus of this workshop is to provide a view of how video production can enhance the teaching and learning environment. Hands-on instruction in the creation of digital content using Movie Maker will illustrate how these tools can reshape the learning environment. Excel users who are past the beginners stage using this powerful application with their upper elementary students will want to check out this intriguing lesson plan. Participants will conduct a survey and then locate pictures related to a topic of choice using either a digital camera or an Internet website. Then they will learn how to manipulate these images to create a pictograph in Excel which can then be imported into Microsoft Word.
