




Clubs and Activities
National Honor Society: Mrs. Francis
Seniors and juniors who have maintained a high school average of at least 4.0 are eligible. Members are chosen by vote of the faculty on the categories of leadership, character, and service. Each student is rated on a scale of one to four. The lowest vote in each category is disregarded. The candidate must obtain an average score of seventy five percent of the possible points to be elected.
Art Club– Advisors: Mrs. Cream
This club provides an opportunity to recognize art forms and cultural awareness through art. The student in the art club perform art services to all our schools and the community.
Band– Advisor: Mr. Mastin
Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band
S.W.A.T Club—Advisor: Dr. Wilson
Billiards Club- Advisor: Mr. Marian
This organization provides an opportunity for students to sharpen their billiard skills. The members play billiards each week at Sharkey's Billiards. The members also participate in an annual 8-ball tournament.
Chess Club- Advisor: Mr. Milanes
Members participate in chess tournaments throughout the year. This club provide students the opportunity to learn and advance their chess skills. Members play chess for recreation and competition.
Digital Photography Technology Club-
Advisor: Ms. Goodman
Students will combine visual art with
computer technology.
Environmental Club-Advisor: Ms. Hudson
This organization provides various opportunities for students to help with the environment in the community.
Falcon Newspaper- Advisor: Mrs. Endebrock
This organization provides news about sports, clubs, organizations, and anything of an educational, recreational, or newsworthy nature. The Falcon Newspaper is a web based publication.
Foreign Language Club-Advisor: TBD
This organization helps promote and celebrate the rich culture of other countries. The students have the opportunity to explore the cultural diversity in their own school.
Future Business Leaders of America --(FBLA)- Advisor: Mr. Carson
FBLA offers its members many avenues along which to pursue natural bents toward leadership and to discover, apply and refine the abilities that make a leader. These avenues include: annual leadership conferences; professional management training opportunities; competing with peers in the pursuit of excellence; working with others chapters to achieve larger goals that neither could meet separately; participating in an altruistic project; graduation award to an outstanding member of FBLA.
History Club- Advisor: Mr. Mislin
This organization provides the students with the opportunity to research the Historic Society of Burlington. The students provide assist in the nomination process and presentation of the annual Wall of Fame inductee.
Interact Club—Advisor: Mrs. Gonazles
This is a service organization sponsored by the Rotary. Member engage in community service projects throughout the school year.
Key Club- Advisor: Mrs. Lee
This is an international service organization sponsored by Kiwanis, which develops leadership skills and participates in many service projects. Students will experience satisfaction from servicing their community. Students take trips to Great Adventure and local professional sports events.

Lighting and Sound Club - Advisor: Ms. Christine Griffith
Students will be exposed to the technology of sound and lighting for the Fall
Play and Spring Musical. This organization is designed for the beginner as well
as those students who are technologically savey.
Literary Club—Advisor: Mrs. Williams & Mrs. Freedman
This organization publishes two Literary Magazines each year, which showcases students creative writings. A
Model Congress - Advisor: Mr. Vizzacco
This is an academic club which gives the students an opportunity to experience preparing legislation and presenting it in a mock congress for two days at Montclair State University.
School Play– Advisor: Mr. Farina
Mr. Farina is the Fall Play and Spring Musical Director. All students who are interested in performing in the plays must audition for all casting roles.
Science League—Advisor: Mr. Marian
Set Construction - Advisor: Mr. Yike
Students will assist in the design elements and the construction of the sets
for the Fall Play and Spring Musical. Those students who are interested in
architecture and design are well suited to serve in this exciting organization.
Set Painting - Advisor: Ms. Goodman
Students will assist in the design and finish applications to the school play sets. Students with a keen interest in art, drawing, graphics, and hard work should not hesitate to join this rewarding club.
Snack Shack- Advisor: Mr. Diamond
Students who enjoy servicing the patrons for the home football game should join this club. Mr. Diamond and his crew are always looking for hardworking individuals to help out.
Students Active in Education (SAE) – Inactive
This club provides guides and refreshments for Parents’ Night, Conference Night, and 8th grade orientation.
Multicultural Club —Advisor: Mr. Mislin
This organization is very active in promoting a forum for students to confront and resolve those situations standing in the path of racial equality in our society.
Table Tennis- Advisor: Mr. Marian
This organization provides an opportunity for students to learn and improve in the sport of table tennis. Mr. Marian holds a table tennis tournament at the end of each year, with the place winner receiving a trophy.
Math Club- Advisor: Mr. Schlaegel
This organization provide the math club student with the opportunity to participate in five Burlington County Math League meets per year. Mathematical recreation is stressed.
Merlin Yearbook- Advisor: Mrs. Goodman
This organization provides the students the opportunity to record the events of the school year. Students who are interested in graphic design or photography should consider joining this organization. Most students are enrolled in the Graphic Arts Class with Mrs. Goodman.
Women's Issues Club - Advisor: Mrs. South
The club is designed for students interested in women's issues in our current society. Students will work to investigate positive influences in society, women's struggle for rights, and engage in charitable fundraising "causes" for women.

This organization is comprised of student government officers, class officers, class representatives, faculty, administration, and school support staff. The focus of Student Government is to ensure all stakeholders of the high school a voice in shaping the life they live together.
